Professor Can Le (from University of California, Davis, USA) will visit our Lab to discuss future collaboration and give a seminar about “Optimization-based methods for network clustering”.
Time and location for the seminar: 14:00, 21/8/2025, at room 504 building B1, HUST
Abstract: Network clustering is a fundamental problem in machine learning and network analysis. Optimization-based methods have proven to be powerful tools for tackling this task. In this talk, we will discuss recent advances in this approach, highlighting issues about the landscapes of the loss functions, oversmoothing phenomena, and how to remedy them.
Bio of the speaker: Can Le is an Associate Professor at the Department of Statistics, University of California, Davis. His research interests include network analysis, high-dimensional problems, and random matrix theory.
